After "defeating" Communism in the 1990s, the American Deep State decided that Communism was pretty good after all. It enabled the Deep Staters to make Democracy obsolete, since any politicians elected would be subservient to them.
The main part of the game is replacing the free press with their own propaganda. This they've been wildly successful at. It took a few years, but in America the Democratic Party is becoming obsolete, because they're believing their own propaganda. Climate Change, anyone?
