It is good that the military in Myanmar stands out for personal freedom. Hopefully they will start clearing their jails out to reflect this. The US uses its Deep State for this. Instead of jails, they kill the people they don't like, or cause very bad things to happen to them.
Trump is attempting to eliminate the American Deep State. But he's already encountering problems. His candidate for Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has already found it necessary to change her stance on proposed legislation:

The Deep State is collecting their old IOUs from some members of Congress, who now believe it is absolutely necessary for the Deep State to spy on everyone, regardless of the laws. I sure hope that Trump can find someone more committed to individual freedoms than Tulsi Gabbard.
