There isn't one person in a million with the balls to take on the Deep State, who has any chance of being able to do something about it. Gaetz was probably being followed around by too many people with bulges in their gun pockets.
On a side issue, Trump has yet to nominate a head for the Secret Service. There must be a shortage of people he would trust his life to.
